Dolls

Oven Mitts and Dishcloth

I created some oven mitts for my friend for Christmas. Her kitchen is orange and green and she has an obsession with cherries. With the leftover yarn, I made a dishcloth to with with it.

I didn't have a pattern. I created two squares of each colour and put one of each together. I used orange to join together (just sc together) to join one and green to join the other. Each cherry is a round with hdc and dc to make the bit a little larger around the dip (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc). Each leaf is made up of a ch with a sc on each side and then the leaf part starts with a sc, goes to a tc, and back down to a sc (sc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, tc, tc, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc on each side). Each piece is just sewn on with yarn.
